[Officer Academy] Recommended Lineup: Shu Spear
Hello, everyone. Lately, I noticed that there are more veteran players coming to our official forum and sharing their excellent lineups. I learned a lot from them. So today, I will summarize 3 Shu Spear lineups for you. Also, I would like to invite every player to share their lineups with us!
Shu Spear Lineup #1: Five Tiger Generals (Troop Qualities SSS)
History Origin: The Five Tiger Generals aided Liu Bei in his effort to found the Shu dynasty. These generals are Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Ma Chao, Huang Zhong, and Zhao Yun. They were the pillars that supported Shu Han, each of them having achieved great military exploits. Guan Yu captured Yu Jin alive and killed Pang De. Zhang Fei intimidated Xiahou Jie into a retreat at the Changban bridge using his ferocious roar. Ma Chao helped conquer the barbarians of Qiang and Hu. Huang Zhong devastated Cao Cao’s army and slain Xiahou Yuan in the Hanzhong Campaign. And Zhao Yun risked his life on the battlefield to save Liu Bei’s son and defeated Cao Cao’s army at the Han River. These are the classic Three Kingdoms historical stories of the Five Tiger Generals that have been passed down for generations.
Lineup: Zhao Yun (Commander) + Guan Yu + Zhang Fei
Recommended Tactics:
Zhao Yun: Symbol of Peace + Breach
Guan Yu: White Brow + Total Annihilation
Zhang Fei: Intimidate + Raid and Pillage
Summary: This lineup has 3 buffs: the Five Tiger Generals Affinity bonus, Shu Faction bonus, and Spear Tech bonus. Additionally, Zhao Yun and Zhang Fei ensure that this lineup can deal consistent damage while Guan Yu provides high burst damage output, allowing this lineup to deal basic damage at worst and very high damage at best.
Shu Spear Lineup #2: Peach Garden Spear / Shield (Troop Qualities SSA)
History Origin: You must have heard of The Peach Garden Three as their story has been passed down for generations. In the late Eastern Han dynasty, the people of China were struggling with their lives due to a corrupted government, wars that raged on for years, and famine. Liu Bei wanted to save the commoners from their misery and did something great. Later on in his life, Liu Bei met Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, who became his brotherly friends. This bond they shared eventually led to the foundation of Shu Han.
Lineup: Liu Bei (Commander) + Guan Yu + Zhang Fei
Recommended Tactics:
Liu Bei: Intimidate + Eight Gold Locks Formation, Intimidate, Paranoia, Sidestep
Guan Yu: Total Annihilation + White Brow, Breach, Unstoppable
Zhang Fei: Raid and Pillage + Fallen Phoenix, Breach, Unstoppable, Furious Glare
Summary: This lineup also has 3 buffs: The Peach Garden Three Affinity bonus, Shu Faction bonus, and Spear Tech bonus. With this flexible lineup, you can freely switch between Spear and Shield. Also, this lineup provides excellent healing and Control effects, making it an ideal lineup in both the early game and PvP situations.
Shu Spear Lineup #3: World Spear (Troop Qualities SSA)
Zhuge Liang (Commander) + Zhao Yun + Liu Bei
Recommended Tactics:
Zhuge Liang: Paranoia + Soul Steal
Zhao Yun: Breach + Total Annihilation, Unstoppable, Raid and Pillage
Liu Bei: Intimidate + Eight Gold Locks Formation, White Guard, Sidestep
Summary: Though this lineup doesn’t have an Affinity bonus, it relies on Zhuge Liang’s high Strategy Damage and Zhao Yun’s consistent Weapon Damage to perform well. Zhuge Liang’s “Strategic Genius” can prevent enemies from using their Tactics while dealing a lot of damage to them. In addition, Zhao Yun is immune to Control effects and can deal high damage. Last but not least, Liu Bei is capable of inflicting Control effects and healing. If you give Eight Gold Locks Formation to Liu Bei, you can further ensure that your Commander gets to go first, making this an all-around lineup that excels in every aspect.
