[Basic Gameplay] Ruler System - Move and Rebuild Your City
Ruler System - Witness how a dynasty rises up and falls. Tap “Administration - Ruler” at the bottom of the main menu to open the Ruler menu. Here, you will see three options: “Move City,” “Seal City,” and “Rebuild City.” Next, I will focus on the functions that allow you to Move and Rebuild your City.
I. Move Your City
1. Move City: As you can expect, this function allows you to move your City/Fort from one place to another. By capturing 11 adjacent tiles in the shape of an H (these tiles cannot have buildings on them), tapping the tile at the center, and selecting Build castle, you can choose to spend 500 Gold to Move your City/Fort. When you do this, you will be presented 3 options to choose to Move your City/Fort to the current location.
2. Requirements: You must meet the following requirements before you can Move your City.
1) Reach 5000 Fame.
2) The units in your City are Idle.
3) There are no buildings under construction in your City.
4) Your Ruler is not Imprisoned.
#Hint: You must meet all the requirements stated above to Move your City. If any of the requirements are not satisfied, you will not be able to Move the City. The Move City function has a 72-hour cooldown. That is, you may only Move your City one time every 72 hours. So make your decisions carefully. Additionally, you may Move your Fort via the same function and in the same way.
II. Rebuild Your City
1. Rebuild City: This is when you Abandon your current territory and choose a new region for your City. There are two options available for you to “Rebuild City”:
The first option is “Emergency Retreat,” which will automatically pick a random location in your Starting Province and Rebuild the City for you. Emergency Retreat will reset all your captured territory (including your Fort). Still, it will not affect what you have inside your City, so you get to keep the buildings in your City as well as the in-game progress of Construction, Conscription, Stables, and Training and 80% of the resources you currently have in your Warehouse. You can still use the “Emergency Retreat” function even if you are Imprisoned. When you are in a dire situation, you may resort to Emergency Retreat to avoid risks.
#Hint: When you are inside your Starting Province using Emergency Retreat, your Alliance and Imprisoned status are not affected. If you are outside your Starting Province using Emergency Retreat, you will automatically leave your Alliance and no longer be Imprisoned. Keep this mechanic in mind when accessing the Emergency Retreat function.
The second option is “Fresh Start,” which allows you to pick any non-Resource Province to start over and rebuild everything. After you use the “Fresh Start” function, your City resets to default and your Construction, Stables, Conscription, and Training are automatically cancelled. Fortunately, you get to keep 80% of the Reserves and Warehouse resources currently in your City. However, you will automatically leave your Alliance and no longer be Imprisoned. The “Fresh Start” function is a very dangerous action to take as it basically reduces all your in-game progress down to zero, so you must think twice before you make this decision. There is an alternative way to transfer to another City, which is via the Move City function. So I would advise against using the Fresh Start function unless it is absolutely necessary.
#Hint: You may not use the “Fresh Start” function within 3 hours after creating a new character. And this function has a 72-hour cooldown after you use it. Fresh Start shares the same cooldown with Emergency Retreat and you cannot use these two functions at the same time.
That’s about it for this guide to how you can Move or Rebuild your City via the Ruler system. If you Seal your City/Fort, you can protect them from being attacked. However, Seal City is a measure that only avoids short-term but not long-term threats, so I won’t go into that this time. As always, if there is anything you’d like to learn about, feel free to leave a comment down below. I will make sure to cover every topic in detail for you!
