[Beginner’s Guide] Guide to Fort

Hello, everyone!

Today, I’m bringing you a guide to Fort.

After you capture a level 6 tile, you can capture 11 additional tiles around that level 6 tile use them as the foundation to build a Fort. Building a Fort is a great way to increase your Resource Production, the size of your army, and your overall strength. Read on and follow my steps to learn more about Fort.

I.        What is a Fort?

Fort is a mini-sized City. It has almost every feature of a City, including Reserves Recruitment, Unit Formation, and Forces Arrangement. Building a Fort increases 1,000 Power for you, and upgrading a Fort’s construction gives you additional Resource Production and Warehouse capacity.

1. The Fort’s purpose in the early game is to increase your Warehouse capacity and Resource Production (A Fort’s Resource Production and Warehouse capacity can be added to your City’s Resource Production and Warehouse capacity). You can achieve this by building and upgrading the Fort’s Civic Constructions.

2. The Fort’s purpose in the mid-game is to increase the size of your Reserves and the number of deployable units and mobilizable units.

3. The Fort’s purpose in the late game is to build and upgrade your Shrine - a construction that can increase the number of tiles you’re allowed to capture.

Of course, there are a few differences between a Fort and a City - some Civic and Fortification Constructions of a City are unavailable in a Fort. Other than that, they are almost identical.

See the following table of Fort v.s. City in regard to the construction system for more details.

※Hint:

Each player can build only one Fort. Once the Fort is built, you can’t change its name. Enemy Alliances can capture a Fort and, once that happens, your Fort will lose all its functions. You can pay some resources as ransom to retrieve your Fort or team up with your Alliance members to save it and remove its Imprisoned status.

II.       The Construction Requirements of a Fort

1.    Once you reach 6000 Fame, the Fort feature will be unlocked.

2.    Before building a Fort, you must capture 11 tiles in the shape of an H that match the appearance of your City. Additionally, the central tile must be at least level 6.

3.    Tap the level 6+ tile at the center of the H-shaped tile area and then tap Build - Fort - Construct - Name - Confirm. After that, the construction of your Fort will begin. Building a Fort requires some resources, and the construction will take 5 hours to complete.

III.      Demolish a Fort

A player can only have one Fort at a time. If you want to build a Fort at another location, simply tap the “X” button on the Fort. Then, three pieces of advice from the elder will show up, and you only need to choose the one that says “Abandon the Fort” and tap Confirm to abandon the Fort. Abandoning a Fort will take about 1 hour to complete.

※Hint: Building and developing a Fort isn’t an easy task. And abandoning a Fort will make all the effort and time you put into a Fort go to waste. All constructions and Reserves in the Fort will be forfeit, and the Officers leading the Fort units will be sent back to your City as deployable Officers. That’s why you must think carefully before building or abandoning a Fort.

That is all you need to know about the Fort feature. If you still have questions after reading this article, feel free to comment below. I will do my best to answer them.
